Add an item in a few seconds, then export every deadline to your phone or computer calendar with a reminder two days before. Mark items as returned when the refund is done.
How to track return deadlines
Type the item, the store and the price, set the purchase date and choose the return window printed on your receipt. If the receipt gives an exact last day instead, choose Exact date and enter it. ReturnDeadline shows the last day to return before you save, then adds the item to a list sorted by deadline. Each row shows how many days are left, turning amber in the final week and red in the last three days.
Click Add to calendar to download all open deadlines as a calendar file with a reminder two days before each one. When the item goes back, click Returned; it stays crossed out in the list so you can watch for the refund.
Tips for stress-free returns
Keep receipts together, or note in the item where the email receipt is. Leave tags on clothes and keep the original packaging for electronics until you are sure. Some stores count the window from delivery for online orders, and many shorten windows for electronics and opened items, so record the window from the actual receipt rather than memory. If a deadline falls on a holiday, return a day or two early.
Private by design
ReturnDeadline has no accounts and no server-side storage. Your purchases stay in this browser and are saved in local storage on this device only.
Frequently asked questions
How is the last day calculated?
The purchase date counts as day zero, so a 30 day window from October 1 ends on October 31. Always check the exact rule on your receipt.
Can I get reminders?
Use Add to calendar to download an .ics file. Your calendar app adds each deadline as an all-day event with a reminder two days before.
Do you know each store’s return policy?
No. Policies vary and change, so ReturnDeadline lets you enter the window from your receipt or the store’s website.
Is ReturnDeadline free?
Yes. Tracking, calendar export, CSV export and printing are free with no sign-up.
Are my purchases stored online?
No. Your list is saved only in this browser on this device.
